It all started when...
Our name is inspired by Matthew 6:33, which says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you,"
Gered attended Freedom Ministry Training at Gateway Church in Southlake, TX. It was there he learned the role we as Christians have in helping people seek God’s kingdom first. By connecting them to the One who can truly transform their lives and take dominion over their problems, we can offer authentic freedom. This has since became a focus for our family and an integral part of our work.
God began to show Gered the mission of 6:33 Global over 4 years as we were foster parents to 4 different children. Gered would pray for these children that God would save them, heal them and set them free despite their past, trauma, wounds, or strongholds. He also prayed that they would dedicate all the gifts and talents God had given them to The Kingdom of God, to be used through the Church of God to build up the People of God.
These prayers became the heartbeat of 6:33 Global: KINGDOM - CHURCH - PEOPLE.
We began to feel the pull to the missions field after leading several teams while working at Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After trips to different parts of the world, we led a team to Honduras and it became clear this is where we were meant to be. This is where we were supposed to continue our work of building God's church. As this vision stirred, Ps. Mike Haman shared with the HPC Staff a vision God gave him about the future of HPC Honduras and its role as a gateway to reach people throughout Latin America. This vision confirmed our calling to Honduras alongside our church. The desire to see God's Kingdom Advanced through supporting the development of the local church is the very heartbeat of 6:33 Global.
