July 2018
It's hot in Honduras in July! Average temperature was 90F - 93F, but it feels like 100F - 105F. Thankfully, we were able to purchase insulation and install it under our tin roof, which brought down indoor temperature 15F - 20F.
We got approved for Temporary Residency! We no longer have to leave the country or renew our visas. I believe we are good for 5 years and we have to renew annually. This will allow us to get a bank account here in Honduras which gives us more efficient access to ministry funds.
Jada & Josiah wrapped up their homeschooling toward the end of July. We had a HUGE BLESSING in the month of July. Mrs. Amy, a friend of Larry & Allison Smoak (Missionaries here in Las Mangas), came to visit them and asked if we needed any help this Summer. She is a high school Spanish Teacher in South Carolina. She helped Jada & Josiah with their homeschooling and freed up Brandi and I to work on some ministry things. It was a game changer for us.
So much we are looking for someone to come for a long term mission trip to help out with homeschooling. The kids usually work on homeschooling from 8:00am - 2:00pm. Other than that, there is an opportunity to serve with Healing Place Church Honduras Campus ministries throughout the week and Sunday Services. If anyone you know is interested, they can email us at brandi.lambert@633global.org for more details.
In our previous newsletter, we announced that 6:33 Global is now an IRS approved 501(c)3 non profit organization! This allowed us to provide online giving on our website. As a reminder, we are asking for 2 things:
1. If you are supporting 6:33 Global through Healing Place Church, we ask that you begin giving directly via https://www.633global.org/donate
2. Visit https://www.633global.org/donate to review the details of our budget and the 3 Giving Categories in which you can partner with and support The Lamberts and 6:33 Global.
We are excited to share we have picked up new supporters and we want to thank and express our appreciation for those who chose to trust us with the resources God has blessed you with and trusted you to steward for God's Kingdom.
Here's some updates on how we've been able to use your generosity to bless others here in the community we serve:
In the picture above is, from left to right, Martha, Roxy & Natalie. One of the single, elderly ladies who faithfully attend and serve at HPC Honduras has taken these 3 relatives of hers and 3 other kids into her home due to poor living conditions and the parents inability to care for them.
Thanks to your generosity, 6:33 Global is able to help this family:
Martha's crutch kept sliding from under her, causing her to fall because the rubber crutch tip had worn away and only metal remained. We found a great medical supply store in La Ceiba and was able to buy new replacement tips to stabilize her crutch.
Roxy, the little girl in the green dress is 4 years old! She was badly malnourished for her first 3 years due to lack of a balanced diet. We were able to work with Dr. Melvin & Ana Pacheco of Clinica Doctor Del Pueblo to get test run, get her on a corrective supplement regiment and protein rich diet to get her on the track to health and growth.
To help with the entire family, we have fresh milk delivered daily for the family of 8 and we provide eggs, flour, salt, sugar, pasta, oil & coffee every 2 weeks.
Finally, the end of July marked the last of our Summer missions teams from Healing Place Church. It was a HUGE win for The Kingdom, The Church and The People! Thanks to Pastor Mike & Rachel Haman, Pastor Jeff Rentz, Missions Pastor and Breanne Franks who helped coordinate these trips.
Thanks also to Student Ministry Pastor Paul Musso, New Beginnings Pastor Andrew Tullos and Denham Spring Campus Pastors Ryan & Jessica Frith for leading these teams!
For the Fall of 2018, The Lamberts are resting from the Summer teams and Homeschooling. We have a short trip to the U.S. planned for August 15th - 20th. Brandi and I celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary September 4th so the family is flying over to the Cayman Islands for the week and then we have a 3 week trip to the U.S. October 30th - November 20th.
Between all that, we are getting back into Spanish Classes, working with Ps. Derek Smith to develop and market more teams to visit and serve at HPC Honduras. We have a good blueprint laid out and we'd appreciate prayers for wisdom to get it all line out.
PRAYER NEEDS:
1. Development of incoming teams to HPC Honduras
2. Someone to come to Honduras as Long Term Missionary to help with kids homeschooling and HPC Honduras Ministry.
3. Financial Support for the ministry.
4. Safe travels for the trips we have scheduled this year.
5. Rest for the kids. They do not get a "full Summer" off of school due to transistion from U.S. to Honduras. We need to start their next school year the first week of September.
As always, thanks for checking in!
