May 2018
A Look Back At May
April & May were busy months for The Lambert Family! Mostly focused on preparing for the Missions Teams we have coming from Healing Place Church during the Summer of 2018. We are observing & learning from Ps. Derek Smith, who has a well oiled machine here at HPC Honduras! We never fully appreciated all it takes to prepare for and host a team to the campuses. But, now we know and we are ready to help Ps. Derek, Cesia & the HPC Honduras Staff.
Outside of sharing The Gospel of Jesus Christ and Discipleship, we feel education and healthcare are the biggest practical needs in the community HPC Honduras serves. Therefore, we are praying about a partnership opportunity with an amazing couple here in Honduras. Melvin & Ana are doctors, born and raised right here on the mountain. They are members and leaders here at HPC Honduras. They have a heart to serve the community here on the mountain and we would love to support them. Please check out their story on The Healing Place Marriage & Family Podcast. We hope to have some news about how we can help them more in the near future: http://hpcmarriagefamilypodcast.libsyn.com/marriage-missions-melvin-ana-pacheco
Because of your generosity, 6:33 Global was able to partner with Melvin & Ana to treat a young girl in our community that had suffered with symptoms of an infection in her endocrine system for over 6 months. 6:33 Global was able to pay for tests required to pinpoint the cause of the symptoms. Once the tests were completed, Dr. Melvin & Dr. Ana were able to develop a plan to get her better. They had medication donated from a group in the Cayman Islands and provided FREE medication to treat her infection.
We had the first year interns from Healing Place College come for their annual end of the year missions trip. They did a great job serving willingly and definitely helped Ps. Derek and the HPC Honduras Staff be a healing place for a hurting world.
Finally, we have great news for the Lambert Family! During one of Josiah's Bible Classes during his homeschooling, he asked Jesus to be his Savior! During an exercise talking about sharing our faith, we review the simplicity of the gospel:
We Are All Sinners
We Deserve Punishment
Jesus Died For Our Sins
We Need To Ask Jesus To Be Our Savior
Eternal Life Is A Gift From God
We Must Tell Others About Our Faith In Jesus
You could see the Holy Spirit conviction as he worked through the exercise and he realized he needed a Savior! So, we prayed over him as a family and celebrated the fact we knew we would be together for ETERNITY because of God's Mercy & Grace! Hope to have Baptism Pictures very soon!
Thanks again for checking in!
Love
